If you want to have a program or application launched after Windows loads you have to add it to the startup console of the operating system. It was quite simple in older versions of Microsoft Windows, but in Windows 8 you have to perform completely different steps and add a shortcut of the application to a special location in your computer.
Adding a program on Windows 8 startup instructions:
- Press the “Windows key + R” on your keyboard.
- Type “%appdata%” and press Enter.
- Navigate to “\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup”.
note: “C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup”. - Add shortcuts to the programs you want to automatically start into this folder.
