Most PC users use the same programs after every computer startup. When the Windows startup is completed, we manually click each program we always work with, but we can modify them to initiate as startup programs. If you change these programs, the operating system will launch them automatically as your computer is starting up. To learn how to add a program as a startup application, read below.
Instructions:
- Click “Start” then “All Programs” and then right-click on “Startup.” Now you have two options:
Choose “Explore” if you want to set startup programs for only one user, browse the folders and open the “Startup” subfolder for the desired user. Or, choose “Open All Users” to add a startup program for all users. - Now that you have opened the “Startup” folder, you need to insert the application or object.
If you want, just open the folder and insert a copy of it into this folder.
To launch the application after startup, copy its shortcut to this folder. (See the article that focuses on the creation of a shortcut). - After you restart your computer the application should launch.
Tips and Tricks:
- To remove the object from startup, delete the copy of the program. To temporarily remove the program from startup read the article that focuses on changing current startup programs.
- To manage startup programs you can use the utility. For example, Spyware Terminator 2012 offers a startup tool.
