There are several ways to burn your data onto a media CD/DVD in Windows®. One tool you may wish to consider is the free Nero Kwik Media™ software application. This tool can be used to create a DVD movie disc, audio CD, data disc, etc. If you want to burn photos, MP3s, video files, documents and other files and folders in the format in which they are stored on your PC, you must burn them as a data disc. To learn how to burn such a CD or DVD in the free Nero Kwik Media™ suite, follow the instructions below.
Instructions:
- Launch the Nero Kwik Media™ application. The application should be installed and the burning functions should be activated as described in the tha article that focuses on installing the Nero® Burning ROM free version.
- Insert a blank CD or DVD into your optical drive.
- In the “Burn & Copy Disc” section, click on the “Burn a data disc” link.
- Click on the “Add” button at the top navigation bar.
- On your computer, locate the file or folder you wish to burn and click on the “Add” button.
- Repeat steps 4 and 5 until you add all the data.
- Click on the “Burn” button located in the bottom right corner.
- When the burning process finishes, click the “OK” button.
- Close the application. Congratulations! You have burned your CD or DVD in Windows®!
Tips and Tricks:
- To see the used capacity of the media while adding the files, check “Project size” and “Remaining space” in the bottom information bar of the application.
- To name your disc, fill in the “Disc name” in the bottom information bar of the application.
