Have you ever found yourself looking for a function in Microsoft® Excel® to turn your table and all the data over from rows to columns and vice versa? Although a function to do this does not exist, there is a way to accomplish it. By using the instructions below you can convert your Microsoft® Excel® columns to rows with ease.
Converting Rows to Columns:
- Launch the Microsoft® Excel® spreadsheet and open the table you want to turn over.
- Select all the table’s cells.
- Press “Ctrl+C” or right-click on the selection and choose the “Copy” option. The table will be placed in the clipboard, and now you have to place it back transposed.
- Right-click on any unselected cell and select “Transponse” in the “Paste options” menu. The paste options are also located in the “Home” tab. Select “Paste Options” in the “Paste” dropdown. Congratulations! You have successfully converted your Excel® table!
