If you become a victim of a “high-quality” virus that forces your computer to run slow or become unstable, you may face the issue of having to remove the threat. These symptoms usually indicate a virus has attacked the system files. The damaged or infected system files cannot be cleaned while the operating system is running. You have the option of using a tool that you can launch before the operating system starts. In this article you will learn how to create a Kaspersky® USB rescue disk that you can boot your computer from and use to scan your hard drive and memory.
Instructions for creating a USB rescue disk:
- Open your Internet browser and download the Kaspersky® Rescue Disk ISO image.
- Now download the Kaspersky® Rescue2USB record utility.
- Run the KasperskyRescue2USB record utility file and install it.
- When the Kaspersky USB Rescue Disk Maker window appears, click “Browse” and select the Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 ISO image.
- Select the required USB disk from the “USB Medium” dropdown menu.
- Click on the “Start” button.
- Click on the “OK” button in the information window that the Kaspersky® USB Rescue Disk has successfully created.
- Reboot your computer and boot from the USB drive. Load the Kaspersky® USB Rescue Disk and scan your computer.
