Internet communicators are very popular applications for keeping in touch with people. One great feature with them is being able to see if someone is available online to contact immediately. Simply install the application and make a contact list. Working in real time, communicators will identify anyone on the list who is online and ready to receive communications. There are several types of software that can handle this kind of communication, such as Skype®, Yahoo!® Messenger or ICQ®. The latter is a popular Internet communicator and in the instructions below, you can read how to download and install it.
Downloading and installing ICQ®:
- In your Internet browser, go to the ICQ® home page.
- Click on the “Download ICQ” button.
- Save the installation file into your hard drive and run it.
- Select the preferred installer language from the dropdown menu.
- Specify the installation location.
- Read the license agreement and click on the “I agree” button.
- Now choose the type of installation, full or custom, and click on the “Install” button.
- When the installation process finishes, click on the “Finish” button.
- The application launches automatically and you can sign in to your ICQ® account or create a new one by clicking on the “New? Register here” link.
