The Foto-Mosaik-Edda© program creates image mosaics by placing many small tile images from a user’s database together to produce a custom mosaic effect. This application doesn’t just spread images; the program analyzes the graphic possibilities and subsequently assigns tiles as accurately as possible to reflect the overall structure of the image. Users can specify the dimensions of the tiles, as well as set the number of tiles to be used and how many times each of them can be repeated. This allows users to create a more or less abstract effect, depending on their preferences. The application’s easy–to-use wizard guides users through the making of a mosaic step by step so the final product is unique.
