SkyDrive® is an online storage space provided by Microsoft® that offers 25GB of free space for Windows Live® users. If you have a cell phone with a Windows® Phone, Android™ or iOS© operating system, or you just use the Microsoft® services, such as MSN® Messenger, you can use this cloud storage.
With just an Internet connection, you can access your data from almost anywhere and this service is just as functional as the well-known Dropbox®. Learn how to create a Microsoft Live® ID and SkyDrive® account to get your 25GB of online file storage for free.
Creating a SkyDrive® Account:
- Launch your Internet browser and go to the Windows Live® SkyDrive® page.
- Click the “Sign In” link in the top-right corner of the page.
- Log in with your Live ID (skip steps 4 - 6) or create a new account.
- To create a new account, click the “Sign up” button.
- Use your existing email address or create a new one. Use the wizard to finish the Microsoft Live® ID account creation process.
- At the Live ID Sign in page, sign in with your Live account.
- In the main navigation, click the “SkyDrive > Get Started“.
- Click the “Get SkyDrive“ button in the “FREE online file storage“ box.
