Video file sharing is gaining in popularity as technology is becoming more accessible. Video files can be quite large, which can pose a problem when trying to share them. For better file sharing, many classic AVI video formats may be divided into parts. You may see a split video file with an “avi.001” or “avi.002” extension. Some modern media players can handle this format and will play the files individually. But if you want to join the split file together to have one “AVI” file, you have to use specialized software.
Below are instructions on how to download and use splitter software that can reverse the process and rejoin the files again.
Join Split AVI Video File Instructions:
- Download MasterSplitter© application.
- Unzip the downloaded file and launch the installer.
- Click the “Install” button.
- You will be asked if you want to associate the software with the “*.001” files, click on the “Yes” button.
- Click the “OK” button.
- Open your “avi.001” video file. It will be launched in the “MasterSplitter” application. Click the “I Agree” button.
- You now are located in the “Join” tab and the video file is loaded. Click the “Join” button.
- The file should be rejoined and transformed to the classic *.avi format. You can launch it with your media player.
