How Do I Stop Twitter® Email Notifications

February 06, 2013  |  Difficulty: Easy

Twitter® notifications

Twitter® notifications are automatically set to email you notifications when there is new activity, messages and updates related to your account. If those automatic emails from your Twitter® account are bothersome, there is an easy way to cancel them. To turn this feature off, follow the instructions below which show you how to simply disable these notifications in the settings section of your Twitter® account.

Disabling Twitter® Notifications:

  1. Launch your Internet browser, sign into your Twitter® account and go to the Twitter® notification settings page.
  2. On the right side of the interface, you will see three categories: Messages, Activity and Updates. Uncheck the box for each of the categories that you would like to stop receiving notifications from.
  3. Then, click on the “Save changes” button.
  4. You should no longer receive notifications from the unchecked categories.
