QuickTime® X is a very popular media player, especially on Mac® computers. It is easy to use with a very simple user interface. Besides viewing, QuickTime® X offers some special features, such as trimming, sharing, etc.
Its trim function is quite handy, particularly if you want to eliminate parts of a video that are too long, uninteresting or ones that you just don’t want to see.
The instructions below describe how to trim properly, so you can easily edit your videos using the QuickTime® Player on a Mac®.
Trim Instructions using QuickTime® X:
- Open the movie in the QuickTime® Player.
- Click “Edit” in the main navigation bar and select the “Trim…” option.
- A timeline will appear. Drag the highlight select-box to choose the parts of the video you want to trim.
- Click the "Trim" button and you are done!
