Microsoft® Security Essentials is a free antivirus security solution for Microsoft Windows® users. The application is available for all licensed operating systems Windows XP® Service Pack 3 or higher. Instructions:
- Open the Start menu and click on the “Control Panel” menu.
- Open the “Add/Remove Programs” menu for Windows XP®.
Click on the “Uninstall a program” option for Windows Vista® and Windows® 7. - Locate Microsoft® Security Essentials and select it. Click on the “Remove/Uninstall” button.
- If the confirmation window appears, click on the “YES” button.
- The uninstallation wizard will launch, then click the “Uninstall” button.
- When the process is finished, click the “Finish” button and restart your PC. Your computer will now be free of the Microsoft® Security Essential antivirus software.
