- Go to “Start > Control Panel > Add or remove programs”.
- Select the “HP® Software Update” application in the list and click on the “Remove” button.
- Go through all the dialog of the uninstaller and remove the HP® Software Update with all components.
- Once the process has finished, click on the “OK” button.
Manual uninstalling HP® Software Update in Windows® 8 Metro:
- Right-click on the HP® Software Update tile you want to remove.
- At the bottom of the screen, a new bar will appear.
- Click the “Uninstall” icon.
- The classic “Program and Features” section of the Control Panel is opened.
