There may be two explanations:

• You have submitted a file in an invalid format - The Photos module supports only the following image formats: jpg, png and non-animated gif. If you upload another type, it will be in your Storage, but it will not be visible within the Photos module.
• Synchronization is still in progress - When you upload photos, it may take some time before your photos appear within the Photos module. The time depends on the number of people who uploaded their photos at the same moment. Please be patient; your photos will appear in your Photos module soon.
