This feature allows you to monitor several email accounts and check them for incoming messages from your Inbox.com account. This feature supports SSL, so you can download messages also from emails that require SSL, such as Gmail.
With this new Inbox.com feature you won't have to access your email accounts individually to read your mail anymore!
It's simple! Just go to your Inbox.com email settings, within the "Email Options" tab, click on the "External POP3 Accounts" link and use the "Add new account" button to add each of your email accounts one by one to the list of monitored email accounts.
Setup the added accounts just like if you were adding them to your mail client, such as MS Outlook.
To help you not lose track of where your messages came from, Inbox.com lets you manage folders where messages from email accounts that you specify will be automatically stored when you receive them. Learn how to create your custom folders...
Inbox.com gives you the option to leave copies of messages in your other email accounts or to conveniently download them all into your Inbox.com account and not leave copies in the old accounts anymore. If you want to keep a copy of downloaded emails in your other email account, you must select the "Leave a copy of downloaded emails on the server" checkbox when you're adding a new account.
If you want your Inbox.com email account to check your other email accounts for incoming messages, select the "Automatically check for new messages" checkbox. Even if you select this, you can still check for incoming messages by clicking on the "Check now" link on your External POP3 Accounts list.
Your Inbox.com account checks for new messages on your external accounts when you click on the "Check mail" button. This check is made once in 5 minutes to prevent overload of Inbox.com servers.
