How do I configure IncrediMail Xe to send and receive mail from my Inbox.com email account?

Before setting up the POP3 access you first need to activate POP3 in your Inbox account.

After you activate POP3 & SMTP access in your Inbox.com account, you can easily setup your mail client by following the instructions below:

To configure IncrediMail Xe, follow these steps:

1. Open IncrediMail and select the "Accounts..." option in the "Tools" menu.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the "Add" button.
   
   
   
   
3. Click on the "Next" button.
   
   
   
   
4. Enter your full name in the "Your Name:" field. Enter your full Inbox.com email address (username@inbox.com) in the "Email Address:" field, and click on the "Next" button.
   
   
   
   
5. Select "POP3" as the type of incoming server you are using. Enter 'my.inbox.com' in the "Incoming mail server:" field, and in the "Outgoing mail server:" field, and click on the "Next" button.
   
   
   
   
6. Enter your full Inbox.com email address into the "User Name:" field, fill out your password and click on the "Next" button.
   
   
   
   
   
   
7. If you see the following window while sending your mail, try to send it again, the account will set automatically.
   
   
   
   
8. If you see the error message even during the second attempt to send mail, you need to setup your account manually. Select the "Accounts..." option in the "Tools" menu. Click on the "Add" button.
   
   
   
   
9. Select the "My server requires authentication" checkbox and click on the "OK" button.
   
   
   
   

It is recommended to use the secured port 465 to send your emails. To change the default SMTP port, click on the "Advanced" tab. Then type the alternate port number into the "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" column. For the Incoming mail (POP3) the port should be set to 995. for both make sure to check the "This server requires a secured connection (SSL)" checkbox.
