How do I import contacts?

You can import address books from Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo!, orkut and other services to your Inbox.com email account.

First, you’ll need to format your contacts as a CSV file.

Either you can export your contacts from your other account or create a new CSV file. Next, you may need to edit the file to make it compatible with your Inbox.com account. Once your contacts are formatted correctly, you can import the file and transfer your contacts to your Inbox.com account.

To import contacts to Inbox.com:

1. Create a custom CSV file, or export the address book from your other webmail provider or email client as a CSV file.
   
   
2. Log into Inbox.com and click on the "Contacts" tab above.
   
   



3. Click on the "Import Contacts" link.
   
   
   
   
4. Click on the "Browse" button and locate the CSV file you’d like to upload.
   
   
   
   
5. Select the file and click on the "Import" button.
   
   
   
   
   
   Select the operation you wish to perform:
   If you are importing contacts for the first time, select the "Leave intact" option.
   If you wish to update an existing CSV record, select the "Update only" option.
   If you wish to overwrite an existing CSV record, select the "Overwrite all" option.
   
   
6. After a successful upload of the document, you will be able to see added contacts.
   
   
   
   

• Inbox.com imports contacts containing email addresses. If the column containing email addresses is missing, you will be notified.

• If you receive error messages when attempting to import your contacts,
  you may need to edit your CSV file.
